Training Outline and Objectives
This information packed workshop addresses both the art and science of the sometimes puzzling and daunting task of underground utility line locating and marking.  Participants are provided a balanced mixture of classroom theory training combined with valuable hands-on field instruction performed outdoors. Participants will gain an A to Z understanding of the locating process. 

Special emphasis is placed on mastery of the electronic detection equipment and troubleshooting techniques to solve utility locating puzzles.

Participants will also gain an overall understanding of the entire national utility infrastructure layout.

Who Should Attend?
Not only is this skills training workshop a great introductory session and a valuable career building tool for the novice line locator, the workshop was designed to challenge and expand the knowledge base of even the most seasoned of professionals at the art of underground line locating. There are no prerequisites for attending this training.

Special Compliance Requirements addressed by training

•  Meets CalOSHA (Qualification Requirements) for all personnel responsible for Subsurface Line locating and marking lines prior to excavation activities in California.

•  Workshop is an approved prerequisite for the ACES International Certified Damage Prevention Specialist professional certification testing program.
