Session Description
The issue of unmarked sewer laterals is one that is on the forefront of much debate. Natural gas and electrical distribution contractors employing trenchless methods such as horizontal directional drilling and pneumatic moles are facing risks of inadvertently striking these sewer service laterals. The result of these \\\\\\\"crossbores\\\\\\\" can be catastrophic to public safety with the problem often surfacing years later. This session will provide an update on current and pending regulations and discuss strategies for formulating a path forward in an attempt to reduce such occurrences.
