The Gulf of Mexico contains over 27,000 miles of pipeline and several thousand miles of telecommunication lines. Protecting this infrastructure is just as vital as onshore operations. GulfSafe is a new One-Call operation beginning service in 2008 designed specifically to operate in a maritime environment without a street database. This completely web based Notification System is the new frontier in Notification Systems and utility coordination. Protecting the intricate systems in the Gulf of Mexico and the Straits of Florida encompass over 360,000 square miles. The coordination of offshore notifications with onshore operations across a five state area and federal waters is the challenge set before GulfSafe.com.
